![]() ![]() In any case, I think I’m making progress on being able to dial a SIP address through Asterisk, even if this is a use that (strangely) wasn’t envisioned by the * developers, and which many here seem to think is a bizarre thing to want (even as they use similar addresses for email, chat and Skype voice calls). iax.conf and nf Open iax.conf and scroll to the bottom, in my iax.conf file I added the lines listed below just above the very bottom of the file, above the line that says: includeifexists custom/iax. This way when dialling an extension the extension will auto answer but when a call comes in the phones will ring normally. We recommend using 3- or 4-digit extension numbers. ![]() This will be the extension number associated with this user and cannot be changed once saved. From the Extensions landing page click on the Add New ChanSIP Extension button. Using the left arrow key, disable the auto answer feature. From the drop down click Extensions Adding a SIP Extension. Your extension will be shown in the list (it may be the only one there). including the Branson Repeaters via the AllStarLink telephone portal in vox mode: 1) Dial: 1-76 2) Enter: 49266 3) Enter: 1 4) Enter: your PIN (in your AllStarLink account under Account Settings) 5) Enter: 1 6) Mute your telephone microphone. Select option 1, labeled as auto answer and press OK. You will need to dial the intercom dial code (by default is 9) in front of the extension number.This is located at settings / dial codes. This PIN is needed to use the AllStarLink telephone portal. I may play around with starting my context with a match-everything extension, have it look to see the user did enter a full SIP address, and then call based on that. You can use the intercom option which is located under extension rights. If chan_sip.c is dropping the domain name, why does this work?īecause if $ variable and it has very limited matching capabilities.
